I recently went to Amelia Adcock's artist talk, I learned about the work she makes and how she is inspired by nature and the "primal instincts" of humans, as those were recurring words and themes I heard her talk about. I enjoyed seeing the body of work she had on display and how everything had a consistent style. I was really intrigued by her use of mixed media as well. The thing I most enjoyed about her work was how depsite the art being quite dark and gloomy, the inspiration being a love for animals was quite nice.
