awareness post

The artist I selected for my awareness post is Tradd Moore. Tradd Moore is a comic book illustrator whose unique art style is unlike other comic book styles, even today. Moore graduated from SCAD, (Savannah College of Art and Design) but before that, while still in college, a comic writer reached out to Moore to collaborate on a project after seeing some of Moore's work. After that project he worked on comics for DC and after that, Marvel. His work is detailed and often times surreal, his figures are wavy with many round shapes. Moore's work, is influential to me because it shows how Moore stays true to himself rather than conforming to traditional style of comic illustration. Moore's development of a unique style is something I want to work towards- because in Moore's case, his style developing in the way that it did helped him achieve a magical and psychedelic feeling to his art.
