dec 2023 lunchtime lecture process

I thought Dave Kanach was nice and as an artist/designer very talented. He kept it real and talked about the challenges with having a job in design, but he also talked about how even with some of the limitations he had, he still found ways to have fun in his job. He did all of this while using his passion as a way to make money. When Dave Kanach told us to sell our art I really considered it after his presentation, the way he made it sound simple, although, it definitely is not as simple as it sounded. Kanach's 3D animated gif was reaally good and so was his unboxed animation as well. Him talking about his experience with coworkers was insightful, as he said that he's had to change things all the time after showing it to people, and having too change his designs quickly as well. To me it sounds stressful, but also challenging and fun at the same time. All in all, I thought his presentation was great and I was glad I could make it in-person.
